Wall & Floor Tiles

There are many variations of tiles, the main ones being Ceramic, Pocelain & Natural Tiles.

Ceramic Tiles – for walls and floors, traditional value for money tiles for most situations. Available in a large variety of finishes and sizes. The designs have a wide range of effects, from natural stones to pristine whites, in both gloss and matt glazes.

Porcelain Tiles – for all applications, inherently more robust than their ceramic cousins. Available glazed, unglazed, natural or polished, and stocked in sizes from 100x100mm to 600x400mm. Many of the finishes mimic natural stones.

Natural Tiles – this includes travertine, limestone, slate, marble, granite and quartz. Many of these are supplied direct from the importer’s. Being natural (mostly still porous), there is normally an element of protection, cleaning and maintenance involved with these tiles.

Ceramic Vs Porcelain – Porcelain tiles have been used for many years, primarily they were developed for the commercial market as they can be full bodied tiles that will have a stronger wear layer on the tile. Porcelain is denser than ceramic which means it has a lower absorption rate. It is frost resistant – making porcelain better for outside applications.
